Annie Parker Whittington, age 98, surrounded by her family, departed this earthly life to enter eternal life with her Heavenly Father, on Saturday, April 23, 2016.
She was born in the Bendale Community and resided in Ocean Springs for many years.
Annie was a sweet, kind, humble individual who loved and was loved very much by all who knew her. She enjoyed her God given talents; growing vegetables, planting flowers and canning fruits. Also, she had a generous heart, spending hours caring and sharing with others.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, two sisters, grandchild, Curtis Bruce Krause, son-in-law, Joseph Bruce Krause, daughter, Rita Krause and son, Ken Whittington.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Canizaro (Vito), son, Glen Whittington (Kathy), son, Donnie Whittington (Belinda), daughter-in-law, Delores Whittington, sixteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
We are grateful to all the family members, friends and neighbors, who visited and especially those who assisted with her recent illness, including Saads Home Health Care.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at 12 noon in the Pine Bluff Baptist Church located at 140-284 Turner Whittington Road in Perkinston. Visitation for family and friends will begin one hour prior to services. Burial will occur on the church grounds.
