Bessie Corso Carron, age 89, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 16, 2014 in Gulfport, MS. She was a resident of Biloxi, MS since 1950. A retired medical assistant, she retired after 23 years having worked in the office of Dr. James S. Fisackerly, MD. She was a Charter Member of the Gulf Coast Medical Assistants Association. She was of the Catholic faith and a member of Nativity B.V.M. Cathedral.
Mrs. Carron was preceded in death by her husband, Louis V. Carron; her parents, Mabel and Thomas Corso; two brothers, Frank N. Corso and Albert S. Corso, all formerly of Clarksdale, MS; and step-son, Edward Carron of Navarre, FL.
Survivors include her son, William “Billy” Grayson and wife Cindi of Slidell, LA; daughter-in-law, Judy Carron of Navarre, FL; brother, Leon Corso and wife Joyce of Clarksdale, MS; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Nativity B.V.M. Cathedral. Friends are invited to attend one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park in Biloxi, MS. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
