Carol Marie Manning

Carol Marie Manning, 69, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away Sunday March 3, 2013 in Dallas, TX. Carol was born in Corpus Christi, TX on September 3, 1943 to the late Laddie and Janie (Netek) Polasek. She married Dalton Ray Manning on March 3, 1962. She and her husband moved to Ocean Springs, MS in 1973. Carol was a devout Catholic, devoted wife, mother, grandma and sister who loved her family and friends dearly. The last five years of her life were spent in Dallas, TX dedicated to her youngest grandchild, Jacob Dalton Manning. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Al Baketel. Carol’s strong faith in God and love for her family will always be remembered by her husband, Dalton Ray Manning of Ocean Springs, MS; daughter, Kelli Manning Dockery and husband Clay of Virginia Beach, VA; son Jeffrey Ray Manning and wife Amy Deitrick Manning of Southlake, TX; four grandchildren, Nick (Laurie), Kyle, Trent Dockery and Jacob Dalton Manning; great granddaughter Haylee Jeanne Dockery; sisters, Georgia Baketel, Helen (Lynn) Decker; brother, Sonny (Barbara) Polasek. A special thanks to her daughter-in-law, Amy Manning, and her niece, Gina Decker for her loving support. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations are made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at www.stjude.org. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Ocean Springs, MS at 11:00 a.m. where friends may visit one hour prior. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
