Charles Anthony Montilla, 5 days short of age 92, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020 in Ocean Springs, MS.
Charles was born on December 9, 1928 in Chicago, IL. He proudly served 26 years in the U.S. Air Force. Charles served in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam and retired as Senior Master Sergeant. After retirement, he worked at Sterling Drugs for 20 years.
Charles was married to the love of his life, Jeannie V. Montilla, for 68 years. He was a loving husband and a wonderful father and grandfather. Charles enjoyed fishing, ball room dancing, was an avid golfer, and won numerous medals for running, including the Senior Olympics. He was deeply loved and respected and will be missed by all that knew him.
Charles is survived by his wife, Jeannie V. Montilla; children, Virginia M. DiAlesandro (Nick), Kevin A. Montilla (Kathy McDonald), and Ronald C. Montilla (Barb); grandchildren, Joseph Howley, Michelle Howley, Pierce Montilla, and Darby Montilla; and brother, John Montilla.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Biloxi National Cemetery. The OS Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the Montilla family.
