Earl Davis Orr

Mr. Earl Davis Orr, age 71, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020. Earl was born on August 18, 1948 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Robert Steed Orr and Mable Beryl Ramsay Orr. He was the youngest of 12 children, which included 4 sets of twins. He was a 1967 graduate of D’Iberville High School. He was employed as a supervisor at Express Publishing Company in New Orleans, Louisiana for many years. During his spare time, he enjoyed his gardens and birds. Earl is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Bearnice (Hartford) Jordon Granger, Iris (Sonny) Heinrich, Mavis (Leroy) Scheffler, Robert (Edna) Orr, Winnie (Buddy) Triplett and Jamie Orr; and sisters-in-law, Jenny Orr and Cookie Orr. Survivors include his domestic partner of 42 years, Jude Francis; friend and caregiver, Chad Walters; siblings, Amelia (Russ) Smith, Billy (Sandy) Orr, Sammie (Jeanne) Orr, Dean Orr, and Tommy Orr; faithful four-legged companions, Sadie and Punkin; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Notre Dame Hospice, especially to Fanta, Kristene, Nicole, Terrance and Yvonne. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi. Friends are invited to visit from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. A private interment will be held in D’Iberville Memorial Park at a later date. Masks must be worn to enter the funeral home and social distancing is encouraged. Reception to follow at Kellie and Danny Boudreaux’s residence at 17381 S.
