Eleanor Emma Mize

Eleanor “Lollie” Emma Hudson Mize, 87, departed this life on Monday, January 11, 2021 in Gulfport, Mississippi. Mrs. Mize was born in Biloxi, September 5, 1933, and lived most of her life, in Gulfport. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Gulfport. She was a wife and homemaker and believed family should always come first. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Hudson and Novita Hudson; her husband of 55 years, William “Tom” Mize; a sister, Shirley Peterson; a brother, Dan Hudson; and a daughter, Phyllis Lynn Sheffield. She is survived by her daughter, Amy Johnson (Steve) of Gulfport; her grandchildren, Ashleigh Mazzola (Frank) of Gulfport, Joshua Sheffield (Rachel) of Gulfport, Sam Mize (Laura) of Gulfport, Grey Johnson of Biloxi, James Johnson of Gulfport, and Avery Johnson of Gulfport; her great grandchildren, Max Mazzola and Minnie Mazzola, both of Gulfport; her sister, Cathy Kern (Ray) of Republic, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved. Family and friends are invited to visit Lollie one last time on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Downtown Gulfport from 1 until 3 pm.
