Helen K. Elmore

Helen K. Elmore, 80, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012. Helen was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Boyd Killingsworth; mother, Clyda Hiett Killingsworth; brothers, Tommy Killingsworth and Charles Killingsworth; husband, Alfred L. Elmore; and daughter, Deborah Elmore Nix. Helen is survived by her sister, Doris Killingsworth Mathews, husband, Carl Mathews, LaGrange, TX, children, Paul “Steven” Elmore, wife Vicki Elmore, Biloxi, MS, Donald “Kevin” Elmore, wife Jennifer Elmore, Biloxi, MS, Susan Shireman, husband Steven Shireman, Biloxi, MS, son-in-law, William “Billy” Nix, wife Jo Nix, Ocean Springs, MS, grandchildren, Paul Elmore, wife Jennifer Elmore, Amber Elmore Guess, husband Russ Guess, Amy Nix, Tara Elmore, Ashley Elmore, Glenn Shireman, Stephanie Nix, great grandchildren, Caleb Favre, Evan Elmore, Emma Claire Elmore, as well as beloved nephews and nieces. Helen moved to the Mississippi Gulf Coast from Texas with her husband Alfred. Together they established and owned Biloxi Radio and TV, Allen’s TV and Appliances, Luckies Furniture TV and Appliances, and Edgewater TV and Appliances. Helen served as Gulf Coast Community Hospital Auxiliary member and Peoples Bank of Biloxi advisory board member. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of Biloxi, Agape Sunday School Class. Helen loved the Lord. Helen instilled the love of the Lord among her children and grandchildren. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Friends may visit two hours prior. Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer donations to be made to Second Mile Ministries at, First Baptist Church of Biloxi, 1560 Popps Ferry Rd., Biloxi, MS 39532.
