John J. Duke

Mr. John J. Duke, age 51, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013, in Mobile, AL. Mr. Duke was born on November 1, 1962 in St. Charles, MO and was a resident of the coast for over 43 years. He was the former owner of Stans Small Engine Repairs and former employee with Walmart, both in Ocean Springs. Mr. Duke was employed with KLLM Transport as a driver, was a U.S. Army Veteran and of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his son, Casper Lee Duke, two fathers, John E. Manning Sr and James L. Duke and sister, Regina Ann Duke. Survivors include his wife, Cindie McCormick Duke, mother, Alice Duke, two sons, James Duke and Paul Duke, sister, Bonnie (Michael) St. Arnaud, three brothers, Darrin Manning, Donald Ray (Katie) Duke and Danny Joe (Heather) Duke, one grandson, James Robert Duke Jr, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other family members. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 24, 2013, from 5pm until 8pm, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Friday, October 25, 2013, there will be an 11 am chapel service in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
