Joy Mary Newby

Joy Treadaway Newby, 86, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015 in Biloxi. Mrs. Newby was a native of New Orleans, LA, a former resident of Pascagoula for over 52 years and a resident of Biloxi for the last 2 years. She was also a member of Our Lady of Victories Catholic Church in Pascagoula. Mrs. Newby’s survivors include her husband of 67 years, Frank J. Newby, Sr.; her daughters, Patricia (Larry) Hennessey and Joy (David) Hawkins; her son, Frank J. (Shirley) Newby, Jr.; her grandchildren, Katie (Josh) Murphy and Michael (Keion) Hennessey; her great-grandchild, Layla Hennessey; and her brothers, Ronald (Anna) Treadaway and Don (Janet) Treadaway. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Mississippi Chapter, 1900 Dunbarton Dr. Suite H, Jackson, MS 39216. Funeral Services will be held at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at 12:30 pm. Friends may visit from 10:30 am until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
