Kenneth Florian Lamey was born on June 17, 1929 and passed away peacefully on August 29, 2020 with his family by his side.
He enlisted in the Army and served from 1948 to 1952 including an overseas tour in Germany. Kenneth transitioned to the Army National Guard and the Army Reserves. His remaining service was with the Mississippi Air National Guard and was recognized by the State at the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. His dedication to his military service afforded him numerous commendations and medals. Kenneth was proud of his accomplishments with recognition on receiving the Civilian and Air Force Commendations Medal for services from 1954 to 1989. Kenneth was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1244 since 1949 until his passing. He was one of the oldest living members of the Council.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife, Ramona Snyder Lamey; son Florian Kenneth Lamey; parents Florian and Rachel Eldora Lamey; brother Gerald Francis Lamey; sisters Anna Mae Taylor & Mary Theresa Taylor; nephews Gerard "Rod" Taylor, Johnny Ady and Larry Snyder; nieces Jana Seal and Margo Louck; great granddaughter Adaline Rokohl; and great-great granddaughter Harper Lamey.
He is survived by sons Mark Lamey and Tim (Tina) Lamey; daughters Lowana (Dave) Ratisher, Theresa (Old Maid) Lamey and Lisa (Brian) Balius; grandchildren: James Lamey, Dora Gayle Garza, Katie Bossier, Priscilla Rokohl, Victoria (Kenneth) Yarrow, Jennifer (J.T.) Contreras, Traci (Shaun) Boedges, Missy (Andrew) Smith, Shelby Balius and Michael (Debs) Balius; sister Norma Jean Lamey; nephews: Terry (Susan) Taylor, John Taylor and Richard (Theresa) Taylor; great-grandchildren: Cory Lamey, Stacia Lamey, Kyle Lamey, Scarlett Potyok, Bradley Darby, Portia Potyok, Alyssa Contreras, Ava Boedges, Dylan Darby, Reese Boedges, Gracie Smith, Maximus Boedges and Ryder Smith; great-great grandchildren: Aston Lamey and Kylie Lamey; and his beloved dog Layla.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Seelos Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. Friends may visit from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A private interment for family will be held at Biloxi National Cemetery.
