Laura Sintes Benezue

Laura Sintes Benezue, 78, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in Lucedale, MS. Mrs. Benezue was born in New Orleans, LA on August 26, 1942. She graduated from Charity School of Nursing and worked at the Biloxi VA Hospital for 38 years. Mrs. Benezue was a member of St. Paul UMC in Ocean Springs and the Ladies Auxiliary of Ocean Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Benezue; her parents, Eva Rose and Lawrence Sintes; her children, Ramon Benezue and Rebekah Guzman; and her siblings, Patricia Sintes and David Sintes. Mrs. Benezue’s survivors include her children, Beth (Hai) Newton of Ocean Springs, MS, Robney Accardo of Covington, LA and John (Stephanie) Benezue of New Braunfels, TX; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Barbara (Ralph) Estingoy, Lawrence (Jerrie) Sintes, Eva Rose Paddon and Edna May Desdunes. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff at Amelia’s Gardens Personal Care Home and Southern Care Hospice. Funeral Services will be held at St. Paul UMC Church, Downtown Campus in Ocean Springs on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Porter Avenue in Ocean Springs is honored to serve the Benezue family.
