Maria M. Abella, age 91, of Long Beach, MS, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 in Gulfport, MS surrounded by her family. Maria was born August 2, 1929 in Bataan, Philippines to Simon and Alejandra Malibiran.
Maria was married on July 29, 1945 to Bonifacio N. Abella Sr. She was a loving and caring Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Lola, Great Lola, Great Great Lola, and Friend to many. She will be missed by all that knew her. Maria loved gardening, ceramics classes, and watching tagalog soap operas. She loved to feed everyone who walked in her house and made everyone feel loved and welcomed. Maria loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, with all her heart, soul, and strength.
Mrs. Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Simon and Alejandra Malibiran; her husband, Bonifacio N. Abella Sr; her daughter, Maria Luisa Abello; her son, Edgardo "Boy" Abella; her brother, Eufracio Malibiran; her grandson, Rey A Abello; her son in laws, Alberto Buensuceso and Ernesto Abello.
Survivors include her loving children and their families: Bonifacio M Abella Jr [Marlinda], Maria Teresa Llamas [Alejandro], Maria Cecilia Palo [Wilson Sr], Maria Caridad Buensuceso [Toribio Barretto], Maria Socorro Llanda [Victor], Edgardo M Abella [Jocelyn]; 15 grandkids and their loving husbands and wives, 33 great-grandkids, and 3 great-great grandkids.
Visitation will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe 2511 Pass Rd., Biloxi, MS on Monday, August 2, 2021 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm. The funeral service will be Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. where friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
