Mrs. Mary Margaret Wronko, age 82, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family in her home on Tuesday evening, October 16, 2018.
She was a resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast since 1969. She was a registered nurse for many years at Ocean Springs Hospital. Following her nursing career she was a dedicated volunteer at the newly formulated St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy, which dispenses prescriptions to those in need. She was an active member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Margaret Farrell and her son, Daniel.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 63 years, Raymond, who lovingly cared for her during her lengthy illness, sister, Kay Winkel (Ed), of South Bend, Indiana, three children, Chris Wittig (Tom) of Richardson, TX, Shari Smith (Henry) of Covington, LA, and David Wronko of Valdese, NC, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Friday, October 19, from 6 pm until 8 pm, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Saturday, October 20, there will be 10:30 am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, where friends may visit from 9:30 am until 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul Community Pharmacy, 715 Division Street, Biloxi, MS. 39530.
Special appreciation is extended to Hospice of Light employee's, RN Stephanie and Shirley and Comfort Keepers' dedicated caregivers, Chantay Butler, Marissa Tyler and Samantha Bovis.
