Milford E. "Sonny" Cumberland

Milford E. “Sonny” Cumberland, Jr., 73, of Waveland, MS passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in Gulfport. Mr. Cumberland was born in Meridian, MS. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason, Knights Templar of the York Rite and a Shriner. Mr. Cumberland was a loving father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, Milford E. Cumberland, Sr.; his mother, Cathrin Cumberland; and his brother, Ronnie D. Cumberland. Mr. Cumberland’s survivors include his loving wife of 33 years, Karen Cumberland; his 5 children, Anita Caryn Cumberland, Milford E. “Bubba” Cumberland, III, John D. Cumberland, Heather M. Cumberland and Chuck M. Cumberland; his 11 grandchildren, Jessica Cumberland-Labit, Dustin Cumberland, Colton Cumberland, Hunter Cumberland, Lillian Moran, Breyton Moran, Elijah Johnson, Annie Johnson, Albrey Cumberland, Izaak Cumberland and Kason Cumberland; and 3 great-grandchildren, Kassidy Labit, Phoebe Cumberland and Adrianna Cumberland. A Memorial Service will be held at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street Chapel, Gulfport on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Friends may visit from 11:00 am until service time. Burial will follow at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach.
