Rickey Jay Hemba, 58, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Friday, January 25, 2013. Rickey was born on August 24, 1954 in Lumberton, MS. He was educated in the Lumberton School System where he excelled in football and was salutatorian of his senior class. Ricky graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Mississippi Law School.
He is preceded in death by his parents, R.J. and Juanita Ladner Hemba; niece, Sarah McFadden.
Rickey is survived by his two brothers, Joel Hemba of Hattiesburg, MS and Phillip (Jyl) Hemba of Russellville, AR; one sister, Cindy (Pat) Kempner of Fort Worth, TX; three step-sons, Perry (Beverly) Morland, Harrison and Jimmy Pittman of Ocean Springs, MS; step-daughter, Amy Raynor of Jackson, MS; uncle, John O. Ladner of Lumberton, MS; aunt, Sue (Larry) Speights of Mobile, AL; nieces and nephews, Brittney McInnis, Chase Williams, Karalea Wells and Alec Hemba.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 1, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until service time. All will be held at the White Funeral Home in Lumberton, MS. Interment will be in Lumberton City Cemetery. Brother Clifford Lazenby will be officiating.
