Vivian Terry Rogers

Vivian passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday March 19th a few days after celebrating her 103rd birthday. Vivian was born the second of eleven children to Henry and Mena Terry on March 15, 1913, and lived on the Coast all her life. She married Harold L. Rogers, Sr., June 31st 1931, and was a devoted housewife for 68 wonderful years until his death in June 1998. Vivian was the oldest parishioner of the Episcopal Church of Redeemer in Biloxi, where she was a member of the Episcopal Women’s Guild, and St. Mary’s Guild. She was a member of the Home Extension Club and enjoyed sewing and making smocked baby dresses. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Rogers, Sr.; son, Harold L. Rogers, Jr.; grandson, Christopher David Rogers; mother, Mena Ross Terry; father, Henry Johnson Terry; sisters, Dorothy Terry Toche, Ruth Terry Tibodeaux Walters, Elvera Terry Zuffuto Higgins, Ruby Terry Gautier; and brothers, Elmer (Bunk) Terry, Chester H. Terry, Sr. and Henry A. Terry. She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Rogers Hebert; daughter-In-Law, Becky Rogers; grandchildren, Howard W. Ladnier Jr. (Celeste), Kevin M. Ladnier, Jackie A. Winkelman (Fred), Thomas P. Rogers (Gia), Laura Rogers Daugherty (Robin); and great-grandchildren, Cody Ladnier, Emily Ladnier, Ryan Rogers, Eric Rogers (Marian), Taylor Daugherty and Payton Daugherty. Visitation will be at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home Biloxi, 675 Howard Avenue on Tuesday March 22, 2016 from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. for family and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. for friends. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at the Episcopal Church of Redeemer, 1904 Popp’s Ferry Road Biloxi, with visitation from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., service beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family request gifts are made to the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. Burial will be at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens of Devotion 8910 Carl Leggett Road (Lorraine Road), Gulfport, MS. The family would like to thank Saad’s Healthcare and Hospice nurses and aides that assisted her, especially Amber, Missy, Mamie, and Melanie as well as employees of Ocean Springs Hospital Lab, Mary, Kathy, Deanna, and Clarice.
