Abigail Kisner Young, 70, passed into eternal peace on Saturday, February 13th, at
her home surrounded by family and close friends. Although we are heartbroken
by her death, we rejoice knowing that she is in the loving presence of God with
family and friends who went before her.
Abigail "Abby" was born in Biloxi, MS to Earl M. Kisner and Thelma Diaz Kisner in
1945. She was the sixth of seven children. Abby was a strong, loving, hardworking
lady, that was admired and loved by many. She worked at Ingalls Shipyard as an
electrician for 30 years and retired in 2005. She enjoyed fishing, raising beautiful
plants, bowling, beach trips and above all, spending time with her family. She was an
avid Braves fan and loved watching sports, especially baseball, football and golf.
Abby was preceded in death by her parents, brotherJack Kisner and sisters Marie Kisner and Betty Bobinger.
She is survived by her loving children Andy (Karon)Parker, Chris Parker and Ann (Joe) Celano, her grandchildren- Reachel, Tyler, Myranda, Drew and Samantha Parker, Sarah, Tony and Emily Celano, and great-granddaughter, Zoey Parker. She is also survived by her sister Thelma Viator, who lovingly provided days and weeks of care and brothers Albert and Michael Kisner.
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and very special friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Babar for his many years of care,
and to Dr. Allison Wall.
Visitation for Abigail Young will be at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Biloxi on Thursday, February 18th from 9:00am-10:00am with the mass at 10:00am. Burial will follow at D’Iberville Memorial cemetery.
