Adam C. O'Keefe

Adam C. O'Keefe, 29, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Monday, January 11, 2010. Adam was born on June 30, 1980 in Biloxi, MS. He graduated from St. Martin High School in 1998 and went on to receive his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2005. While in school, Adam developed an interest in (MMA) Mixed Martial Arts. His devotion to the sport and strict discipline led him to a 6-1 record in the ring. After successfully competing in this sport, Adam transitioned his focus to his career path. In 2005, Adam began his career at the Sunplex Subacute Center in Ocean Springs, as a Marketing and Admission Coordinator. He was there until November 2007 where he accepted a position as Marketing Representative at Trinity Hospice in Hattiesburg. While at Trinity Hospice, he succeeded in obtaining his Nursing Home Administrator License. Adam was then offered a position as the Nursing Home Administrator of the Prentiss Nursing Facility, a 60-bed facility. Given his exceptional performance and solid recommendations, Adam was recruited as Nursing Home Administrator of Biloxi Community Living Center in March 2009, a 240-bed facility, one of the largest operators in the state. Adam most enjoyed being on the Coast with his work and his co-workers at this facility. With friends and family from Coast to Coast, Adam O'Keefe will forever be loved and missed by many. His spirit will live on forever… We love you! Believe… Adam is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Rose Annette O'Keefe and maternal grandmother, JoEtta Sonya Abel. He is survived by his father, Justin B. O'Keefe; his mother and step-father, Stacy and David J. DuLong; paternal grandfather, Jeremiah J. (Martha) O'Keefe; maternal grandfather, Carlyle B. Abel; brothers, Jules S. and Miles J. O'Keefe; sister, Justice O.(Jonathan L.) Duhon. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, January 15, 2010, at 11:00 am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Ocean Springs, MS. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until mass time. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Ave., Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
