Adolf Don O’Blepias, 78 years old of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, February 17th, 2020. Adolf was a native of Luisiana, Laguna in the Philippines and a longtime resident of Gulfport, Mississippi.
He served in the United States Navy for twenty years from 1960 to 1980. There, Adolf was
honored with the National Defense Service Medal, the Navy Battle “E” Ribbon, and the Good Conduct Award. He achieved the rank of Construction Electrician Petty Officer First Class. He graduated from Luis Bernardo Memorial High School in Luisiana, Laguna in 1960 and received his associate degree in real estate at Phillips College in Gulfport in 1982.
After he retired, he worked in civil service at the Naval Construction Battalion Center. Adolf was also President of the Filipino American Association of Mississippi Gulf Coast for one term. He was an avid car enthusiast and liked being the handyman of the household. Another favorite pastime of his was reading newspapers and solving the word puzzles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nemesio Oblepias; his mother, Pilar Oblepias; and his brother, Nemesio Oblepias, Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Eva O’Blepias; his children, Jessica Williams, Adolf O’Blepias, Jr., Jocelyn Newman, Marco O’Blepias, and Marianne O’Blepias; his grandchildren, Haley
Williams, Adam Williams, Aaron Williams, Athan O’Blepias, and Aiden O’Blepias; his siblings, Amado Oblepias, Purificacion Palad, Zenaida Ludovice, Estrella Tejada, and Necitas Jerez; and his beloved dog, Fudge.

A visitation will be held from 10:15 AM to 11:15 AM on Monday, February 24th, 2020 at the
Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15452 O’Neal Rd, Gulfport, and the funeral service will be held from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave, Biloxi, Mississippi
