Adrianne Lightner Platt

Mrs. Adrianne Lightner Platt, 36, of Florence, SC, died Wednesday, August 9, 2006, in Florence. Mrs. Platt was born in Wiggins and a lifelong resident of the coast. She had been a resident of Florence for the past five years. Mrs. Platt was a graduate of D'Iberville High School where she was a band member, and she was employed with several hospice agencies on the coast, including Quality Home Health, Professional Home Health and Memorial Behavioral Center. She was recently employed with Morrell Nursing Home in Hartsville, SC where she served as their Care-Plan coordinator, and with Sara Lee in Darlington, SC as their facilities nurse. Mrs. Platt is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Platt; two daughters, Danielle Platt and Brianna Platt, all of Florence, SC; her parents, Eric and Judy Lightner, of D'Iberville, and her brother, Scott Lightner, of Gulfport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D'Iberville where friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to McLeod Hospice, P. O. Box 100551, Florence, SC 9501-9938, or to the College Fund of Danielle and Brianna Platt, c/o A. G. Edwards, 2555 14th St., Gulfport, MS 39501. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
