Mrs. Agnes L. Hedges, age 87, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Sunday, January 29, 2006, in Kiln, MS, Mrs. Hedges was born on November 12, 1918. She was very interested in voluntary work and worked as a voluntary auxiliary worker for the Ocean Springs Hospital for over twenty years. Mrs. Hedges won many awards there. She had over 2000 volunteer hours and had also worked with the local Red Cross blood drives. Mrs. Hedges was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs, where she was a member of the J.O.Y. senior adult choir. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Hedges, daughter, Donna Smith, brother, Gilbert Smith, sisters, Rena Douglas, Levone Dilley, and brothers, Clarence Jr. Smith (Mac) and Floyd Smith. Mrs. Hedges is survived by her brother, Lloyd Smith, of Waterloo, Iowa, sisters, Dorothy Cummins, of Laramie, WY., and Bernice Douglas of Globe, AZ., grandson, Marc Smith and wife, Hethre, great-grandson, Haden Smith, son-in-law, Ed Smith, and many friends. On Thursday, February 2, 2006, there will be a 3 PM memorial service at Wieders Phan-Radomomski Chapel, 1900 East 19th , Cheyenne, WY., 82001.
