Alan Keith Jones

Mr. Alan Keith Jones, age 75, of Gulfport, MS passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. Mr. Jones was born on April 12, 1946 in Clarksville, TN. He attended Perkinston Junior College, Delta State College, and Mississippi State University. He was recognized for MGCCC Athletics Hall of Fame in 2014 and Gulfport Sports Hall of Fame in 2015. He worked as Assistant Coach for Gulfport High School, Coach & Assistant Athletic Director at Mississippi State, Assistant Athletic Director at Texas A&M, and Vice President & Senior Financial Advisor at Merrill Lynch. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel P. and Bobbie (Robbie) Jones; and by his brother, Roland Jones. Survivors include his daughter, Martha Ann Jones (Houston, TX); niece, Sherry Jones Emerson (Memphis, TN); and nephew, Stanley Roland Jones (Memphis, TN). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to one or both of Mr. Jones’ favorite charities: The MGCC Foundation Athletic Fund in memory of Alan Jones.
