MSgt Albert Christopher Singley, (USAF Retired), 86, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on September 4, 2013. He was born March 26, 1927 in Silas, AL.
Mr. Singley served on active duty with the U.S. Army and U.S. Airforce for 26 years, including tours of duty in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He also retired from Ingalls Shipyard. Mr. Singley was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Singley is survived by his wife of 58 years, Beatrice M. (St. Peter) Singley; his daughters, Lou Carsen of Ocean Springs, MS, Cindy Singley of South Easton, MA, and Linda Knierim (Neil) of Birmingham, AL; his son, Chris Singley of Redcrest, CA; his four grandchildren, Edward Jester, Cheryl Jester, Angela Lee and Jessica Lee; his four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Lowery, Landon Lowery, Cameran Necaise and Ayrick Grigg; his sister, Mary Tindle of Mt. Vernon, AL; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507.
Funeral Services will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. Friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
