Alfred Francis "Al" Battaya, Jr.

Mr. Alfred Francis "Al" Battaya, Jr., age 56, of Gulfport, MS died Wednesday, February 1, 2006. Mr. Battaya was a native and life long resident of the Coast. He was a loving father, grandfather, son and brother. Mr. Battaya was preceded in death by his father, Alfred F. Battaya, Sr. He is survived by daughters, Melissa Gonzales of Ocean Springs and Lois Martin of Escatawpa, a son, William Battaya of D'Iberville, mother Jeanette Blackmon of D'Iberville, sisters Donna Battaya of Biloxi, Karen King, Lisa Fountain and Lynell Peebles of D'Iberville, brothers Douglas Battaya of Gulfport and Glen Battaya of D'Iberville and seven granchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 5, 2006, from 6 PM until 9 PM, services will be held Monday, February 6, 2006 at 1 PM, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Swetman Cemetery.
