Mr. Alfred John Moberg, 64, of D'Iberville, MS passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2005.
Mr. Moberg retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding in 2001 with the Quality Assurance Department after 36 years of employment. He gave four years of service with the U.S. Navy from 1959 until 1963 and 17 1/2 years with the Naval Reserve from 1982 until 2000. He retired from the Navy while serving with the Special Boat Unit 22 and was selected as the Selective Reserve Sailor of the Year in 1995, he was also a member of the American Legion, D'Iberville Post.
Mr. Moberg is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alfred J. and Enola (Petri) Moberg, and maternal grandparents, Mitchel and Rosalie (Gollott) Raymond, parents, Olaf Leonard and Rosalie Evelyn (Raymond) Moberg, sisters, Verna Mae (Moberg) Pell, and Nola Francis (Moberg) DeGeorge.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Lynda Jean (Frum) Moberg, children, Travis Howard Moberg of Biloxi, Donna Marie Moberg of Lyman, Kenneth Joseph Moberg of McComb, Alicia Ida Moberg of Jackson, Lance Aaron Moberg of Biloxi, Dawn Roxanna Strayhan of Burlington, IA, Donna Lynn Ford of Climax Spring, MO, Deanna Lee Aaron of Birmingham, AL, Brenda Paulette Shirley of Carthage, MS and 15 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, March 4, 2005, at the Howard Ave. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Biloxi, MS from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.. Services will be on Saturday, March 5, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Swetman Cemetery in D'Iberville, MS.
