Alfred "Al" Lofland

Mr. Alfred "Al" James Lofland, age 83, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024.

Al was born on April 29, 1941 in Bridgeville, Delaware to the late Charles Lofland and Mary Virginia Hastings Lofland. After receiving his GED, he took college classes in business and NASA related training and he was stationed at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.  After relocating to Mississippi, he owned and operated a convenient store called Harvest House in Gulfport, which was also a post office for people to receive mail. He also owned and operated L&L Equipment Store in Gulfport. Al was the owner of Popps Ferry Sales and Service for 32 years and gained several awards for his sales achievements. He was the owner of Pamela F Shrimp Boat. During his spare-time, Al enjoyed hunting, fishing, farming and traveling. He also enjoyed horse-showing, Saints football and Orioles baseball. Al was will be remembered as a man who was a great provider for his family and someone who could do anything and could fix anything.

Al is preceded in death by his parents; and by his siblings, Howard Lofland, Evelyn Thousand, Pearl Lauck, Sharon Jones and Barry Lofland. Left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Iris Anita Riggs Lofland; sons, Marc Lofland and Eric (Jennifer) Lofland; grandchild, Dana Aaron Lofland; great grandchildren, London Lofland, Xander Lofland, Brayden Lofland, Lindsay Albert, Mike Krueger and Lance Bowman; and by his siblings, Mary Ann Cheezum, Larry Lofland and John Moore.

Funeral service will be held at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Gulfport.
