Alfred Theodore Mort, Jr.

Mr. Alfred Theodore Mort, Jr., age 82, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Wednesday, October 1, 2008, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Mort, a resident of the community for four years, loved music, playing guitars, and was an avid RV camper. He was an accomplished stained glass artist who loved to fish, was a member of the Senior Rockers in Ridgecrest, CA. and loved Sophie his Pomeranian. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Mort, Sr. and Zelma Fowler Mort, a sister, Betty Greiner and a brother, Bill Mort. Loving survivors include his wife of 62 years, Jane Mort of Ocean Springs, MS., two daughters, Janice (Mike) Perkins of Camarillo, CA. and Stephanie Douglas of Ocean Springs, MS., three sons, John Mort of Simi Valley, CA., Alfred (Ruth) Mort III of Manassas, VA., and Stephan Mort of Washington, D.C., two sisters, Joan Mueller of Warminster, PA. and Phyllis Schlehr of Dillsburg, PA., ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Saturday, October 4, 2008, from 1-2 PM, with a 2 PM Memorial Service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home.
