Alice Elizabeth Selmon Cherry

Alice Elizabeth Selmon Cherry, age 79 of Gulfport died Thursday, July 18, 2019 in Gulfport. She was born in El Dorado, Arkansas and was a longtime resident of the coast. She was Baptist and a member of VFW 4526 Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Ray Cherry; and sons, Kenneth Ray Jordan and David Earl Jordan. She is survived by a daughter, Angela Denise McKeown; two sons, James Michael Jordan, and Timothy Wayne Jordan; a son-in-law, Matt Buckley; a step-son, Doug Cherry (Mary); a sister, Linda Gail Newburn; four grandchildren, Tiffany Michelle Jordan, James Michael Jordan, Jr., Christopher Michael Jordan, and Brandon Allen Jordan; six great-grandchildren, Adrianna Skye Jordan, Joshua William Hughes, Kaden Jordan, Aloria Jordan, Wyatt Jordan, and Alexandria Elizabeth Jordan. The funeral service is Monday, July 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport with visitation beginning one hour before at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
