Alice J. Greenleaf, age 88, of Gulfport, MS., died peacefully in her sleep at home early on Dec 26, 2015. Mrs. Greenleaf grew up in Big Point, MS and traveled extensively, but returned to this area in 2000 to retire. For many years she was a Realtor in Hawaii where she was the first woman to sell over a million dollars of real estate. She is a Roman Catholic and a devoted member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral.
Alice is widowed, and survived by her children: daughters, Sandra Gayle Young of Asheville, NC and Cynthia Louise White of Englewood, FL; sons, Thomas Allen Helms of San Diego, CA and Joseph Taylor Pierce of Gulfport, MS; and also grandchildren, Jennifer Young, Jonathan Bingham, Aaron Duarte and Jessica Duarte; two great-grandchildren, Zene and Samuel, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2016, at the Nativity of BVM Cathedral where friends may visit one hour before service time. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road, in Biloxi is in charge of services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nativity of BVM Cathedral, 870 Howard Ave., Biloxi, MS 39531.
