Alice R. Collins

Alice R. Collins, 90, of Long Beach, MS passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 in Gulfport, MS. Mrs. Collins was born on April 23, 1917 in Sunderland, England. She was an avid coast gamer, fan of the Atlanta Braves and supported her sons' baseball and band activities. She also hosted family Mardi Gras parties. Mrs Collins was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Daniel E. "Tates" Collins, Sr. and grandson, Patrick W. Collins. She is survived by her sons, Daniel E. Collins, Jr. of Long Beach, Justin S. (Martha) Collins, Sr. of Biloxi, Lee C. (Anne) Collins of Biloxi, Jamie Collins of Long Beach; grandsons, David Michael Collins of TN, Daniel R. Collins of Biloxi, Steven R. Collins of Long Beach, Justin Collins Jr. of Brighton, MI, Gregory Collins of Biloxi, Zackery Collins of Bastrop, LA; granddaughter, Leah White of Chicago Heights, IL and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, January 10, 2008 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes.
