Allan George Metz

Allan George Metz, 68, of Gulfport died Saturday, March 1, 2008 in Gulfport. He was born in Stetsonville, Wisconsin and had been a resident of Gulfport since 1955. He previously served in the U.S. Air Force for five years and retired from Civil Service as a software designer at Keesler Air Force Base. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Gulfport and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Carole A. Metz of Gulfport; two daughters, Karen L. Reese (David) of Kernersville, NC and Jodi Brown (Philip) of Gulfport; a son, Allan G. Metz, Jr. (Lisa) of Gulfport; a brother, David Metz of Sheboygan, WI; a best friend, Bill Therrell of Gulfport; and eight grandchildren, Robert Reese, Aaron Reese, Savannah Metz, Tyler Metz, Gage Brown, Zakeri Brown, Emarie Brown, and Sean Brown. The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 15th St., Gulfport where friends may visit from 10:30 until the service.
