Allen Fairley, Sr.

Allen Fairley, Sr., age 65, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023.

Allen was born on November 27, 1957 in Benndale, MS. He was employed as Set-Up Manager with Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home for 42 dedicated years. He was a man well recognized for his work ethics, always completing a task beyond expectation. Allen enjoyed being out-doors and staying moving. His passion in life was serving and taking care of others. He was one of a kind and was a true and faithful servant for the Lord. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and kind heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Allen was preceded in death by his grandmother, Overlee Fairley “Big Momma”; his sister, Genevieve Simmons; and by his brother, Robert Fairley.

Allen is survived by his mother, Dora Davis; wife, Diane Farve Fairley; children, Allen Fairley, Jr and Lana Harrien; one grandchild, Cynclair Brown; six sisters, Dora Simmons, Mary Simmons, Ellia Simmons, Gloria Simmons, Delowis (Alux) Achie and Dorothy (Tyron) Gable; four brothers, Bobby Fairley, Jr C (Shirley) Fairley, Donnie (Sandra) Fairley and Johnnie Simmons; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Greater St. John AME Church on Division Street in Biloxi. Friends are invited to visit two hours prior. Interment will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery in Benndale, MS.
