Mr. Allen L. Everett, 87, of Biloxi, MS, died December 31, 2005. He has gone to join his beloved wife of 57 years, Ione Mallett Everett; his parents, Thomas and Marie Everett; his brothers, T. J. and Ralph Everett, and his sisters, Thelma Glazier and Marie Phelps. He is survived by one brother, Don Everett; his son, Allen L. Everett, Jr.; his daughter, Patricia L. Brewer; five grandchildren, Dee Kimberley Brewer, Danielle Karie Brewer, Davina Kristi Brewer, Asha L. Nelson, and Allen L. Everett, III; two step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild. Mr. Everett was born December 4, 1918. After high school he joined the United States Marine Corps in 1937. He was a veteran of WW II and Korea, and retired in 1967 after 30 years of honorable service. He then went to college at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg and graduated in 1970 with both a B.S and M.B.S. degree, Summa Cum Laude. After college, Mr. Everett taught history, geography and various other subjects at D'Iberville High School for 10 years, retiring in 1981. He and his wife, Ione, joined the Gulf Coast Bridge Association, and both achieved the status of Life Master. He was an avid golfer while in the Marine Corps, giving up the game to devote more time to his beloved wife, children and grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial in the Biloxi National Cemetery with full military honors.
