Allen John Seymour, Jr.

Allen John Seymour, Jr., 87, of St. Martin died Friday, February 1, 2013 in St. Martin. Mr. Seymour was of the Catholic faith. He served in the United States Navy during WWII. Mr. Seymour was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, always putting his family first. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family. In his later years he was cared for by three of his grandchildren, Rita May, J.J. Cazzell and Sabrina Davis. Mr. Seymour is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Marie Bosarge Seymour; and his daughter, Frances Patterson. Survivors include his daughters, Sandra Joiner, Donna Wittersheim, Sherry Anderson, Renee Cazzell, Angela Lynch and Tonya Allen; his sons, John Seymour, Kevin Seymour and Tim Seymour; his sisters, Ella Mae Polk and Marlene Platt; twenty-six grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville on Monday, February 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until mass time. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
