Alton E. Milligan, age 82, of Biloxi, MS departed this life May 12, 2009. He was born in Whisp, AR on June 8, 1926 to Enoch and Herbie Milligan. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He served in the Navy during WW II; stationed in Japan.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edward Milligan and Noel Milligan.
He is survived by four sisters, Nina Barlow of Paragould, AR, Mary Rogers of Searcy, AR, Opaline Lincoln of Millersville, MO and Naomi Smith of Batesville, AR.
The family of Mr. Milligan expresses their sincere gratitude to all the doctors and staff at the VA Hospital for their loving care and concern during his time with them. The family especially would like to thank John Dobbs and Joe Powers who visited him, encouraging him in his Christian faith and attending to his needs.
Military graveside services will be held on Monday, May 18, 2009 at 11:00 am at Biloxi National Cemetery in Biloxi, MS with Bill Denton officiating.
