Alvah Earl "Al" Foretich

Mr. Alvah E. "Al" Foretich, Jr., 78, of Biloxi, MS, died Sunday, March 14, 2010, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Foretich was born in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident. He was a member of Nativity B.V.M. Catholic parish and a U. S. Navy Veteran of Korea. Mr. Foretich was retired from Northrup-Grumann as senior designer. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1244, a member of VFW Post 2434, and the Antique Car Association. Mr. Foretich was preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon Nixon; parents, Alvah E. and Bessie Griffin Foretich; grandson, Walter L. Nixon, IV; and a brother, Jan Foretich. He is survived by his wife, Helen Dalgo Foretich of Biloxi; daughter, Angela (Roger) Soren of Louisville, KY, sister, Ninia Bennett of Gulfport; three beautiful grandchildren, Hannah, Alyssa, and Kayla Soren; and his very special little friend, Tina. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue, in Biloxi where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors.
