Alvin A. Williams, age 82, of Biloxi, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2013.
Alvin was a member of the US Navy and served in the Korean War. He also was stationed on the USS Dixie. After leaving the Navy, Alvin worked at the Seabee Base in Gulfport. After retirement, he became a bus driver for Biloxi School district.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia M. Williams; parents, Arthur and Viola Williams; brothers, Ausvel Williams, Ariel Williams and Elton Williams; and sister, Zelda Fenton Moseley.
Survivors include his son, Greg Williams of Biloxi; sister, Eula Marie Meyers of Vancleave; sister in law, Frances Williams of Las Cruces; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials to be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or one’s favorite charity.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit one hour prior. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe is in charge of arrangements. View and sign register book at www.bradfordokeefe.com
