Amanda Evelyn Russell, 18, of D'Iberville, MS, died Saturday, May 14, 2011, in Vancleave.
Amanda was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and had been a longtime resident of the coast. She attended D'Iberville High School where she was a member of the 2011 graduation class. She was a member of various school clubs and social activities. She was a fantastic artist and had great plans for the future. Amanda was a bright ray of sunshine that illuminated everyone she met. She had a loving and caring heart, and always was so supportive to everyone. Her smile and beautiful blue eyes always made us feel complete. She will be missed.
Amanda is survived by her parents, Michelle Russell of D'Iberville and Mark Russell of Saucier; her sister, Madison Russell of D'Iberville; two brothers, Miles Russell of Gulfport and Matthew Russell of Hattiesburg; Maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Heick of Gulfport; paternal grandparents, Rose Russell of Gulfport and James Russell of Long Beach; and her special aunts, Angela and Corina Arceneaux of Gulfport.
Visitation is Tuesday, May 17, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi. Funeral services will be Wednesday in the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
