Andreas Koulmandas Galanis, age 28, of Biloxi, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2008 in Starkville, MS.
Andreas was born in Athens, Greece and moved to the New York at the age of one and spent his childhood in Clearwater, FL where he was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church. He had been a resident of the Gulf Coast for the past eleven years. He attended Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS and was scheduled to graduate in December with a Bachelors in Business. He planned to move back to the coast before pursuing his Masters degree in Florida and had aspirations of becoming a Land Developer. He loved sports, had a great sense of humor and a kind soul, was loved by many and will be mourned for years to come.
Mr. Galanis was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dina Koulmandas.
Survivors include his mother, Katerina Galanis; his father, Manos Galanis; sister, Christina Galanis; his uncle, Charlie Mandas along with many other friends and relatives.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., with a 1:00 p.m. service on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at the Holy Trinity Orthodox Greek Church in Biloxi, MS. Interment to follow at Southern Memorial Park.
