Andrew Michael Scott Kahler

Andrew Michael Scott Kahler, 27, was born June 25, 1985 and was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Andrew was a fun loving young man who loved to skateboard, jetski, being with his friends, and eating Popeye,s fried chicken and cajun rice. He was a lifelong resident of Gulfport and attended Gulfport High School. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward “Eddie” Kahler, Sr. and Elma C. “Sammie” Kahler; his maternal grandfather, William Merrill “Bill” Brown, Sr.; his uncles, Ed “Sonny” Kahler, Jr. and Andrew Jake “Andy” Kahler; and his cousin, Timothy Allen “Tim” Allard. He is survived by his parents, Ricky and Wanda Kahler; a daughter, Brookelyn-Hartley Grace Kahler; a son, Brendon Scott Jackson; a brother, Stephen William Kahler; maternal grandmother, Lydia M. Brown; an uncle, William Merrill “Bill” Brown, Jr.; his aunts, Linda C. Brown, Lillian Ruth Allard, and June Rutland and her husband, Howard; and numerous cousins and many other relatives. The memorial service will be held Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit beginning at 12 noon. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Alfred Sexton and Allen Weatherford of the Explorers Program for their help and influence and also Richard Tilley and many others.
