Mrs. Angeliki Theodorou Drakopoulou, 90, of Biloxi, MS, died Thursday, January 5, 2006, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Drakopoulou was born November 8, 1915, in Klimatari, Evia, an island of Greece, grew up in Athens, Greece where she spent the majority of her life. During WW II she worked at a factory in Tetschen-Bodenbach (now Decin, Czechoslovakia). After the war, she returned with her daughter, Rena, to Greece, her first husband dying in Czechoslovakia.
She worked in other factories in Athens, Greece during her life, and she outlived her two subsequent husbands. She was known for being devout, humble, and always kind and loving in her demeanor. She spent the majority of her last seven years here on the Gulf Coast among her family and those who loved her.
Mrs. Drakopoulou is survived by her sister, Mary Gibson of Gulfport; her daughter, Rena Lohrbach; three grandsons, Ben, Bret, and Jonathan Lohrbach; her niece Barbara Lagoudakis, their families, as well as her family relations in Greece
Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2006, at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi where friends may visit from 5:30 p.m. till service time.
