Anita Crane Cooke

Anita Crane Cooke, 64, of Las Vegas, NV went to heaven the 10th day of August, 2017 at Mountain View Hospital, Las Vegas, NV. Her funeral service will be held this Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Temple Baptist Church, 14190 Dedeaux Road, Gulfport, MS. Visitation services will be 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm followed by the memorial service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be at the Pine Crest Cemetery, 1939 Dauphin Island Pkwy, Mobile, AL 36605 at approximately 4:30 pm on Tuesday. Mrs. Cooke was born on January 2, 1953, in Dermott, AR to Pastor and Mrs. G. S. Crane. She graduated high school in 1971 from Theodore High School, Theodore, AL. She later moved to California where she pursued modeling and acting. She married Ralph Kent Cooke in November, 1983 and lived on Elmendorf Horse Farm in Lexington, KY until the passing of her husband. At the time of her death, she was living in Las Vegas and had been for the past 17 years. Anita loved animals and her family. She is survived by her parents; 1 brother, Pastor J. Stephen Crane, 3 nieces, Jacqueline Marie Carr, Jennifer Lauren Tewell and Julianne Daniel; 1 nephew, Johnny Crane; 1 step daughter, Jeannie Maceachern; 1 step granddaughter, Skylar Cooke; and 1 step grandson, Ralph Kent Cooke, Jr. The family is asking in lieu of flowers, for donations to be made to Anita’s home church, Temple Baptist Church, 14190 Dedeaux Road, Gulfport, MS 39503. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, O’Neal Road, Gulfport is in charge of arrangements.
