Anna Kopszywa Smolcich, 83, of Biloxi, MS died on Thursday, February 11, 2010 in Biloxi. Mrs. Smolcich was born in Cleveland, OH and resided in Biloxi 82 years of her life. She was a loving wife, of 68 years, mother, sister, aunt and friend who was a gentle and compassionate person whose family was the joy of her life. She especially loved her nieces and nephews and all her extended family. She will be greatly missed by all. Mrs. Smolcich was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church all her life.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Mary A. Kopszywa and her father, Edward Kopszywa, Sr,; brothers, Joseph, Frank, Walter, Henry, Edward, Jr., Stanley; sister, Leona Gazzo.
Mrs. Smolcich is survived by her husband, Joseph A Smolcich; son, Gregory Jude Smolcich.
A Mass of Chrisitian burial will be on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. until mass time. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
