Anne Hewes Haddock, born February 7th, 1940 of Gulfport, passed away on August 2, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Oren Clifford Haddock, Brother James Finley Hewes Sr., her daughter, Paige Haddock Wallace and husband John; her son Mark Haddock and wife Stacey; and son Brian Haddock; and 4 grandchildren, Will and Sam Wallace, Lucy and Daisy Haddock and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death, her parents, Frederick Searle Hewes III and Gladys May Hewes, her sisters, Mary Hewes McQuiston and Frances Jane Voelkel and her brother Frederick “Freddie” Searle Hewes IV.
Mrs. Haddock was an active and longtime member of St. John Catholic Church and taught school for more than 20 years at St. John Elementary School while touching the lives of many students along the way. She enjoyed volunteer work at the St. Vincent DePaul Society of St. John Catholic Church and spending time with her family. She was known by all for her infectious smile, laughter and ever-present positive outlook no matter the situation.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, August 6th, 2016 at 12 noon at St. John Catholic Church with visitation at 11:00 am and interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport MS. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the St. Vincent DePaul society, C/O St. John Catholic Church, 2414 17th Street, Gulfport, MS 39501.
