Annie Thyous Weaver

Annie Thyous Weaver, 69, of Ocean Springs passed away peacefully on November 15, 2022. Annie was born to the late Alfonso and Jesus Thyous in Tucson, Arizona. In 1970, she graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Biloxi, MS. After graduation, she went on to pursue a career in cosmetics in which she earned many awards and was recognized nationally. She later earned her degree in Respiratory Therapy and worked as a Sleep Lab Specialist with Dr. Rodberg for many years later retiring from Ocean Springs Hospital. She loved meeting new people and helping others through her job as a Respiratory Therapist. Annie loved to spend time with her husband of 23 years, Steve “Worm“ McKenzie. Together they enjoyed traveling, walking the bridge, attending sporting events, and being with family. Annie was a hard-working mother, a talented artist, and a wonderful seamstress, but she couldn’t cook.

Annie is survived by her love, Steve “Worm” McKenzie; her son, Jason Weaver (Sarah); her daughter, Jessica Weaver; her step-sons, Jacob McKenzie (Hannah), and Chuck McKenzie (Jodi); her sister, Jean Kravitz (Howard); her brothers, Jerry Thyous and Ronnie Thyous (Colleen); her grandchildren, Braxton and Natalie Weaver; her step-grandchildren, Parker, Averie Kate, Jude, and Van McKenzie; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nephews.
