Mrs. Antoinette Gouin, 103, of Gulfport, MS died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 in Gulfport. Mrs. Gouin was a native of St. Charles-Borromee, Joliette, PQ, Canada, a resident of Fort Frances, Ontario, Canada for 5 years, a resident of International Falls, MN for 35 years and a resident of the MS Gulf Coast since 1989. Mrs. Gouin was a homemaker and provided love and care to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her three sons, one daughter and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Lucien Gouin; her parents, Arthur Brunelle and Pomela Parent Brunelle; a brother, Arthur Israel Edouard Brunelle and three sisters, Louise Nathalie Brunelle Vaudry, Louise Leontine Brunelle and Delia Aurelie Brunelle.
Survivors include three sons, Andre A. Gouin of International Falls, MN, Raymond L. Gouin of Gulfport, MS, John P. Gouin of Fort Lauderdale, FL; one daughter, Annette A. Finstad of Minneapolis, MN; a sister, Maria Brunelle Michaud of Montreal, Quebec, Canada and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 10, 2009 from 5:00 pm until 8:00.
Funeral Services will be on Friday, December 11, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Both will be held at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, West Biloxi. Burial will be later in St. Thomas Catholic Church Cemetery in International Falls, MN, where she will be buried next to her husband.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 2090 Pass Road, Biloxi, MS 39531.
