Antonia "Toni" Cabibi Todaro, age 81, a native and lifelong resident of Gulfport died Saturday, August 26, 2006 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John S. Cabibi. She was a 1942 graduate of Gulfport High School. Toni was a lifelong member of St. John's Catholic Church in Gulfport and was very engaged in all aspects of her Faith. She continuously volunteered for many church and school activities. She was an active member of the Altar Society. She was also very active in the Bishop Gunn Council 1583 Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary where she served many offices including President. She also held many state offices including State President of the Mississippi State Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. Toni was also a member of the American Legion Post 119 Ladies Auxiliary, and the 5th Marine Division Association Auxiliary. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Guy S. Todaro, Sr; a brother, Sal Cabibi; and a sister, Phil Donaldson. She is survived by a son, Guy S. Todaro, Jr. and wife, Lisa; a daughter, Mary Dees and husband, Ken; six grandchildren, Nathan Dees, Kevin Dees, Ryan Dees, Guy S. "Trey" Todaro, III, Jennifer Todaro, and Angelena Todaro. Visitation will be held Friday evening, September 1, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 pm, at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road, Gulfport, MS. The funeral Mass is Saturday, September 2, 2006, at 12:00 noon at St. John’s Catholic Church, Gulfport, where friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the service. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Gulfport. In lieu of flowers, Toni’s family would like to encourage donations to be made to the Mississippi State Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary Scholarship Fund P.O. Box 1583, Gulfport, MS 39502. This fund was established in memory of Toni’s parents, John and Mary Cabibi.
