Archie Hamlett, Jr.

Mr. Archie Hamlett, Jr., age 84, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Thursday, December 25, 2008, in Gautier, MS. Mr. Hamlett was a native of Citronelle, AL., a former resident of Dothan, AL. and a resident of the coast for one year. He was a Retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel and a veteran of WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Hamlett and Rena Hall Hamlett. Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Coe Hamlett, son, Phillip (Jean) Hamlett, all of Ocean Springs, sister, Etura Hamlett of Mobile, AL., brother, Lamar Hamlett of Chambersburg, PA. and four grandchildren, Sydney Hamlett, Travis Hamlett, Marshal Hamlett, and Anna Hamlett. On Monday, January 5, 2009, there will be a 1:30 PM graveside service in the Biloxi National Cemetery with full Army military honors. The Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
