Arlan Lamar Robinson, 71, of Wiggins, died Thursday, June 16, 2005 in Wiggins. Mr. Robinson was born in Vancleave and was a life long resident of the Coast. He was a member of Cedar Lake United Methodist Church. Mr. Robinson was a retired businessman and rancher. He served on the Harrison County Board of Supervisors for twelve years representing Beat 5. For many years he was in the automobile business in Gulfport and Biloxi, including Robinson Lincoln-Mercury in Gulfport and Robinson Lincoln-Mercury in Biloxi. He was also a member of the Lucedale Livestock Stockyard Board of Directors. Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ernestine Robinson. Survivors include his wife, Martha Anderson Robinson; a daughter, Arlene Robinson-Hatten and her husband, Russell; three sons, Dion L. Robinson, Darren W. Robinson and his wife, Carmen, Dalton L. Robinson, and a step-son, Ryan Smith all of Wiggins; two sisters, Laura Mae Jordan and her husband, Glenn, and Carol Ann Davis and her husband, Joe; two brothers, Dale Robinson and Marvin Robinson and his wife, Carol all of Biloxi; two grandchildren, Jerrod Robinson and Hannah Robinson; two aunts, Odell Fountain of D'Iberville and Arletta Johnson of Arkansas, and an uncle, Dwight Robinson and his wife, Joyce, of Biloxi. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 until 9 at the Orange Grove Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the Cedar Lake United Methodist Church, where friends may visit one hour before the service. Interment will be in Cedar Lake Cemetery.
