Arlene June Delaney

Mrs. Arlene J. Delaney, age 62, of Ocean Springs, MS., died Sunday, August 30, 2009, in Ocean Springs. Mrs. Delaney was a native of Elizabeth, New Jersey, and worked as an accountant for the Defense Contract Audit Agency for eleven years in Fort Worth, TX. She also worked for several realtors in the area as an agent and broker and was a life member of the Symphony Guild. She was a Board of Trustees member of the Hibernia Marching Society, member of the Biloxi Yacht Club, the Business Professional Women's Association, the Red Hat Society, the Ocean Springs Lady Elks and St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Ocean Springs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Margaret Holdireid Lewczak and her godparents, Zigmund and Stella Tarutis. Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Dr. Robert "Bob" Delaney of Ocean Springs, MS., two daughters, Jennifer Suzanne (Andrew) Davis of D'Iberville, MS., and Meghan Elizabeth Delaney of Biloxi, MS., a brother, Edward Lewczak, Jr. of Sarasota, FL., three grandchildren, Taylor Creel, Jackson Davis and Grayden Davis, and two nephews and a niece. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, from 5 PM - 7:30 PM, with a Scripture Service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Thursday, September 3, 2009, there will be a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, where friends may call from 9 AM - 10 AM. A commital service will be on Friday, September 4, 2009, at 11 AM in the Biloxi National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be sent to the Humane Society of South Mississippi, 2615 25th Avenue, Gulfport, MS., 39501.
